Sustainability

The product - local, safe and of the highest quality - is fished with cutting-edge technologies

and selective methods including the traditional purse seine technique, which uses a large network wall arranged to surround the shoal of fish. It is a type of sustainable fishing, because the net is lowered only on the benches that are the target of fishing. Accidental catches are minimal and the seabed is not even touched. 

The fish is caught in compliance with the fishing quotas and the rules laid down by the European Commission with the authorization of the intergovernmental organization ICCAT, responsible for the conservation of tuna and tuna species in the Atlantic Ocean. 

The passion for fishing, the respect for the sea and the surrounding environment are the values on which the Gallo family and his company have always rested.
